The Biblical Jesus Christ existed from eternity past and is one of the
persons of the so-called Trinity. Through Him all matter in the universe were
spoken into being. He is the incarnate Son of God and is both human and
divine at the same time. He is fully God and fully man. He gave up his
heavenly privileges and chose to live with the limitations of an earthly
life. He is the promised and anointed King from the line of David that
was prophesied by the Hebrew prophets. The Virgin Mary was his mother.
She was a human being and not divine that she should be worshiped.
Christ never committed even one sin and resisted all temptation. He knew
the Hebrew Scriptures. As a human being, He knew from a young age that
He was the Son of God and He knew what his purpose on earth was. He
obeyed both his heavenly Father and his earthly parents. He embodies the
perfect revelation and image of God. I believe He was a physically
strong earthly man, since he laboured as a carpenter for most of his
earthly life, which is hard physical labour. He humbly referred to
himself as Son of Man. It took Him only three and a half years to raise the
disciples who after his death and resurrection ensured that the gospel
message is still preached today, about 2000 years later. He taught about
the Kingdom of God that would soon be inaugurated and He performed many
miracles. Because of his love for undeserving sinful humankind, He completely submitted to the will of the Father to execute His plan to save the human race from eternal death. As such, He
willingly suffered a violent death at the hands of people who were blinded and deceived by the lies of satan. But He was resurrected and occupies
the place at the right hand of the Father. Through his death and
resurrection He secured reconciliation with the Father (a
relationship which was broken in the Garden of Eden). No human being can receive eternal
life without bowing the knee to the Lordship of Christ. Jesus Christ is the
only way to eternal salvation for all who believe in Him, follow Him and endure to the end (Matt.
24:13). The Spirit of Jesus Christ enables believers through his
presence and sanctifying work in their lives to conform to the image of
Christ. He was given all authority in heaven and on earth by the Father
and He is worthy of our adoration and worship.
